With HAMA, children can create their own colourful designs or follow the many ideas in the Inspiration Booklets.  The number of possible designs is endless, and limited only by the child's imagination.  It is great fun to play with, and keeps children happily occupied for many hours.
 
Although it is so enjoyable to play with and so easy to use, HAMA is much more than just a colourful selection of plastic beads and pegboards.  It is a cleverly designed, educational play system which has been researched and refined over many years.  It looks deceptively simple and uncomplicated but is actually a subtle and sophisticated learning toy.  It encourages a child through every stage of development from 3 years onwards.

HOW DOES HAMA WORK?
 To understand how well HAMA does its job we need to look at the stages in a child's development.  We can then see how HAMA's designers have carefully matched the beads and pegboards to each type of activity, and have created a product which can be enjoyed at any age, by children of any ability.

THE FIRST FIVE YEARS
It has often been said that a child learns more in its first five years than in the whole of the rest of its life.  It is certainly true that he or she learns all the basic and most important skills in these early years.

SAFE FOR THE CHILD...
All HAMA products carry the European CE toy safety mark.  They also comply with the relevant United States safety tests.

... AND THE ENVIRONMENT
HAMA beads are made from polyethylene.  The pegboards are made from polystyrene and, like the beads, can be recycled.
